Light wind, sunshine, blue sky and not too cold. Just three of us flying, my brother and me plus one Marcus Goldsmith who was wanting to become a member of the Ivinghoe Soaring Association. It was pretty much a day for simple close-in ridge soaring, flaps down; there was not enough energy in the air for aerobatics. It was a pleasant day nevertheless and now I have recorded it here for posterity. We look like a couple of 'Michelin Men'... multilayered with Goretex coats and over-trousers!
The Shinto F3F racing model uses a Jeti R/C system on 2.4 GHz 100mW while the Kinetic uses FrSky 868MHz on just 25mW, hence the external dipole antenna.
