Thanks! I began to copy Ms. Warwick singing this song as a solo and duet the remainder of my singing days. Perfection! 🤩🤩🤩

Beautiful 😍❤. I have always loved Dionne Warwick. In my younger years I would listen to she and Nancy Wilson. Such classy ladies. Gifts we got to enjoy.

I came across this song on a DW double album back in 1971 or so! I thought it was awesome. (And I'm a Catholic and we're generally considered the least musical of the Christian denominations.) I traditionally sing a few lines to myself and My Lord and Saviour whenever I feel discouraged and feel that awful sense of aloneness that occurs every so often. The lyrics reminded me that we NEVER sre truly alone, but accompanied always by "Somebody Bigger". In the even the written lyrics are not available — well, I wasn't an successful investigative reporter without developing good note-taking skills! Today I am a PhD professor of English and American Lit. Thanks for Miss Mahalia's version, too.

In the 60’s the Drinkard Singers (gospel group) opened her shows. For the last couple of songs she would slip in, unannounced, and gospel riff with them.
