How To: GE Dishwasher Circulation Pump WD26X23258

Symptoms: cracked, damaged, motor has failed, water is not circulating, dishes aren't getting clean, leaking.

Tools: 5/8" wrench, 5/16" nut driver, Phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, 1/4" nut driver.

This GE made Dishwasher Circulation Pump replaces the following older part numbers on General Electric, Hotpoint, RCA, Sears, Kenmore Dishwashers: 4466766, WD26X22285, WD26X22518, WD26X22826.

So glad I found this video it totally fixed the problem of our dishwasher not washing. After watching it a couple of times I went to your website and ordered the part. It got here in like 2 or 3 days and we just replaced it. We followed your video step by step. It took a little while just to get the dishwasher from underneath the countertop because they secured the sides of the dishwasher to he cabinets. After that it didn't take much time. You saved us a few hundred dollars. Even looked at getting another dishwasher but figured we may have the same problem with the new one eventually. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Awesome - so easy. Saved me 119 dollars diagnostic and another 100 for labor.

I cant figure out the reason the other top video took the entire dishwasher apart 😅 so thanks for saving me from that headache

This is a great video thank you! Much simpler than another one i found that essentially takes apart the entire underside of the appliance.
IMPORTANT: if you have a ge profile made after 2020, the connection to the drain pump (the larger of the 2 ports) is a compression fitting and no clamp is needed.

What if the replacement pump has a different electric connection than the old pump. I need this model pump but my connection is different

How do you replace just the wash pump inlet hose that attaches to the part you replaced.

There's no indication of the noise made when this isn't functioning properly. I'm hearing an intermittent sucking sound. Is that an indication that I need a new circulation pump?
