I live 10 miles from the Moss Landing Power Plant. They told us early this morning, that it was clear to resume our usual activities. I have kept my windows and doors closed, just to be on the safe side. There is no smoke visible and I can't smell anything. When I was growing up, the power plant used fuel oil and gas. In 1982, the plant was bought and that is when they brought in the batteries. The sad thing is the slough runs along the side of the power plant and across a two lane highway, is our ocean. All of those chemicals are more than likely ending up in the water. The slough is full of otters, many birds and fish. And it's pretty much the same for the side where the ocean is. Thanks Cohen, for keeping people in the know.
