I played the Uncharted games for the first time when 2020 lockdowns happened. They're definitely worth checking out. Very cinematic and consumable.

I don't watch as many movies these days but out of the films you listed the only one I'm prioritizing is Don't Worry Darling. Mainly due to Florence Pugh and the 1950's setting. The only other film in 2022 that I'm really excited for is The Northman since I love Robert Eggers' previous two films.

Awesome video! My most anticipated movies of 2022 (in no particular order) are:

1. Sonic the Hedgehog 2
2. The Batman
3. Thor: Love and Thunder
4. Black Adam
5. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

My Top 10 (Halloween and Jordan Peele’s new one make up the 12).

1. Top Gun 2 - mainly for Jennifer Connelly as I’m a big fan of hers.

2. The Killer - Like the title and David Fincher’s one of my favourite directors, should be decent.

3. The new Scorsese picture - another director that I admire, unfortunately this film’s only gonna be on Apple. Hopefully it’ll get a Criterion release like his last streaming film The Irishman.

4. Black Panther 2 - all of the shenanigans and mishaps surrounding this movie make me more intrigued to see if they can pull it off.

5. Captain Marvel 2 - Captain Marvel is my second favourite MCU film after Black Panther, so definitely wanna watch this as well.

6. “Lady Macbeth” director’s new film - I loved that early Florence Pugh film and his new one stars Anne Hathaway and the lass from Last Night in Soho, all great credentials.

7. Dionne Warrick Doc - I think you mentioned in a reply last year that you saw this film at a film festival. She’s been on the late show circuit so I think it’s out soon, looks good.

8. Nightmare Alley - might be out in the States already, got a UK release today. Liked the original and Gulermo del Toro, gonna watch it tomorrow.

9. The Raid (Netflix US remake) - loved the originals, was hoping for Part 3, but this remake might be pretty decent. It’s a Micheal Bay production, not direction, so should be more Quiet Place quality than Transformers.

10. Sergio Cobucci Django doc - I enjoy spaghetti westerns and Tarantino movies, this doc explores both topics.

Most contemporary movies sadly doesn’t evoke actual excitement for me personally anymore, so I have to cheat a little with including new TV Seasons to get to a solid Top 5 List at least… ;)

01. The Batman. This looks unbelievable amazing and I absolutely did not expect anything like this anymore. It actually looks like a film, with genuine style and particular story approach. Most of the DC movies after Nolans Trilogy were so disappointing, often more concerned with trying to establish some kind of marvel like cinematic universe and setting up dozens of other movies within a single movie, without taking the time and care to make one interesting movie on its own. Joker was the one exception and The Batman actually looks really promising to deliver a similar unexpected powerful impact. Ever after the short few seconds of the Mask Reveal I was instantly on board and all three trailers so far look absolutely stunning. Hopefully this movie can deliver all its promises and succeeds regarding the Box Office Numbers. Here in Germany we have still very restricted laws regarding cultural social participation like movie cinemas and I sadly don’t see that changing till March.

02. Better Call Saul Season - Final Season. Breaking Bad is still one of my personal favorites. BCS isn’t quite on that level for me, but I‘m really looking forward to the conclusion, to Bob Odenkirks most likely final performance as Saul Goodman and any further connection or implications regarding BB.

03. Stranger Things Season 4. Very much looking forward to the new season. I really loved the 80s aesthetics revival during the last few years, all three seasons so far have been awesome and I hope they can keep still deliver their special kind of mixture of homage, worldbuilding and coming of age story.

04. Untitled Super Mario Movie. I saw the 90s movie as a kid born in the 80s actually in a movie theatre and kind of liked it even back than. But maybe now it’s the time for an actual good attempt on making a Mario Movie. ;) I really hope it will be more like The Lego Movie and not so much like Minions or. Jack Black as Bowser. Who had ever thought of that…

Avatar 2. First new Cameron Movie in a whole decade. Enough for me to be exited. I‘m not sure, if the world really needs or wants a new Avatar, not even to speak of four more. But who knows. Maybe Avatar 2 will be as big as the original film and we will see each and every year a new one for eternity. Or it will massively bomb like The Matrix Resurrections.
