generally how my first go playing Rain World as catslug went. Just repeat ad naseum with any number of deadly things.

the primal urge to tuch is an urge found in all slugcats... exactly the reason why if you get just a little too close to a lizard the slugcat will hold its hand out to touch it :)

Fun fact: If you jump over the tip of the pole plant, (via the use of actual poles) and still touch the tip, it will not sense you! Just don't get too all comfy about it since it has like a 75% chance of success.

If you throw a spear at it it will retreat

One minute you touch wiggly plant. Next minute you are wiggly in plant. Then you're dead.

fun fact, you can run past their base and they won't grab you! this is especially nice for outskirts since most of its pole plants can be easily crossed this way

The first time I encountered a pole plant I fell from the area above, I accidentally touched it and it swallowed me right away. I only saw a glipmse of red and I was gone 💀

Had a similar experience. Was running from a green lizard and jumped onto what I thought was a pole, and then I very quickly learned that pole plants exist.

Bruh, literally everytime i see a pole I want to climb on or get past one, I check the map to see if it is a poleplant or just a pole.

Slugplants will only catch you under 3 conditions.

1- you grab it

2- you stand next to it for to long

3- it is activated, aka it's leaves are out, and you go past it

Fun fact: in rainworld, you dont die unless you get bit really hard (green lizard for example can kill you sometimes) or you get dragged offscreen, pole plants, take you ofscreen.
