Episode 1 - Juliet Mann investigates why the UK economy are falling behind in global productivity levels.

What effects do improved efficiency, employees, Innovative technology, and competitive advantage all have for a businesses productivity level, and how do these things add value?

In this episode we aim to find the answer to these questions. We talk to Mike Flewitt of Maclaren, John Cridland CBE of the Confederation of British Industry, John Neill of Unipart Group, James Sprouie of the Institute of Directors, Ben Willmott from the CIPD, and Dr Steve New of the Saïd Business school. Each industry leader gives their own individual take of what Productivity means to them and how improvements can influence their businesses.

If all the episodes are waffle like this, there's frankly no point watching. My only takeaway is that Britain is not as "productive" as other G7 countries, but there is no source for these figures, how they have been measured, which period in time they correspond to, or any drill down figures to suggest where in particular productivity might be failing.

This leaves me with no confidence in the information itself and no reason to continue with the seres.
