For me retro-computing, especially Commodore 64, brings back beautiful childhood memories. Repairing, restoring and playing some old ... and also new games on this machines takes me back to my childhood! That what I love about it! Greetings, Doc64!

I am glad your getting so much enjoyment out of your Amiga's and older Commodore machines. A little history on how i came into the Amiga. My first computer i owned as a teenager was a Commodore Vic 20 back in 1984. My dad bought it for me. I was happy and disappointed as the Commodore 64 was what was popular and all my friends had one except me. later on i purchased a C128 which i only used in C64 mode. I used the C128 right into the 90's when the next logical upgrade for me was an Amiga. I remember i was so excited and couldn't wait to play strip poker on the Amiga as the game had proper digitized pictures of the girls you played against and not some grainy sketchy looking pic that was on the C64 version. Yes sad but true story, i knew how to play poker as an adult because of all the strip poker i played as a teenager on the C128 and Amiga. I then bought an Amiga 1200 and expanded that with SCSI cdrom, 040 card extra ram ect ect. The A1200 was my main computer for the rest of the 90's till i bought my first intel based PC around the year 2000. I still have the A1200 along with a bunch of other Amiga's. Most of them just stay in storage with only my A1200 and an A4000 that i have set up and use from time to time. Oh i forgot to mention, i still have the Vic20 that my dad bought me in 1984. Take care buddy and keep making Amiga videos for all of us to enjoy.

It's true about Denmark, like a Ginger visiting Scotland and Ireland and seeing Gingers first time!

Retro Madness is real!!!! Mines started with a simple tasks, wanting to backup my Amiga Library before the disks could no longer be read. Years ago I would buy systems from people and find new homes for them so items I had to repair but I always gave a 1 yr warranty which was better than other re-sellers, and certainly better than anything Commodore would offer. I had so much stuff that if something came back which was very rare I always had something to replace it with but nothing really ever came back. So I did back up my Amiga Library but along the way I started buying broken systems and repairing them. I don't sell anything but I did start collecting systems and now I have a bunch of working C64's. 128's. 128D's and Amiga's yea I picked up an A500, a few A600's which I really like because of their foot print, A1200 and an A4000. I still want to pickup an A1000 and A3000 but those I will be very picky on what I buy. I also have a couple working Plus/4's I think they are cool looking but I have no intention on using them long term. I do have Amiga Pi setup's that I enjoy playing with and yea I do use Win UAE and I have a MIST. Thing is I have spend more money than I had anticipated but the joy of playing with these old systems getting them to do things those who built them never envisioned would be possible has been way more rewarding. Then along the way you stumble across channels like this and you realize your not alone. What I will tell you is there are more powerful computer systems out there and I have built my fair share too but none of them has brought me the happiness that the old classics have brought me. The old classics can't do some of the things new computers can but honestly I swear less at the old classics than I do at modern computer and that includes Microsoft and Apple I swear those their OS more than the classics and if your near me and could listen to me you would know this to be true and I could careless I live in the Bible Belt if I were doing this in a Church they would throw me out.

Great video as always, nice to hear how it all started again. Retro gaming is pure nostalgia and take us back to great times with great games and wonderfull machines. Thats one thing i like about you channel, you try things out without a manual (like the C64 Red Cartridge) and thats how things went in a pre-internet era. We tried, explored and learn things. :)

C64 is still my first love and first real computer i ever owned.

By the way THANK YOU!! for making all this awesome content for us.

Hehe i know that feeling :)) I still want to play my favourite game Another World on a real hardware. Emulators are OK for 5 to 10 minutes :) but nothing will keep U playing your old favourite game like the original hardware. That's a simple fact that all of us retro lovers knows very well:)

Almost the same here ... back to retro computing 4/5 years ago trying to revive my good old ATARI 1040ST but now I'm almost exclusive to Amiga 500.
I was an Atari ST owner back in the 80's and never had an Amiga 500 but always admired it.
Now I have 2 ATARI 1040 ST ( one is my original but needs a floppy drive, the other I bought recently and is OK ) and 2 Amigas 500 almost in NOS state (one still with all the seals in the screws)!
It's an expensive hobby because everyone is so greedy this days, but getting back the old joy/nostalgia is so good I can't explain!!!
Last acquisition .... the ACA500Plus :p
I think the retro community is much more healthy than modern tech communities!
Don't you think??

I STRONGLY recommend all the new games for Commodore 64, I just can not get enough of them. Gems like Sam's Journey, Steel Ranger, the remaster of Commando, It's Magic II, The Age of Heroes, Iceblox, Ice guys, Neuron, Precinct 20, Darkness, Soulless (soulless 2 is also coming), Yoomp 64, Shadow Switcher, Digitol which Zap 64 unfairly underrated lol...so many incredible brand new C64 games, I can't even list them all.

Sorry that I am not on Facebook. It is not your FB group and anything, it is FB it self, that are the problem. You know, how they conduct their business.

I will not take your thanks. I am the one saying thanks.
