We used this type of material for our apartment. I have no doubt about its strength because when we have small repair, the mason complained that the wall was difficult to break this is because of the wire mesh. My biggest concern however is the water leaking inside the wall. It cannot be avoided that small cracks will appear and from this, rain water can easily get inside. The most critical part was the water leaking to electrical switch and outlet. I think this material is good as partition wall inside the building but not on walls exposed to rain. It might also be applicable for outside walls but should have roof. In terms of costs on per sqm wall, my calculation shows that conventional CHB is still cheaper considering that SRC cost has now gone high. But most likely in the overall cost of the building, SRC will still be cheaper as you do not need huge and strong pillars and beams because the wall will be lighter.

I would like to give thanks to this channel because it was yr channel that made me become aware of this fast method of building plus the build must be cooler than traditional block it shows that you really don't need to spend tons of money on air-conditioning

Pwede pong pinturahan ng epoxy primer o red oxide ang wire bago palitadahan upang hindi kalawangin ang wire at bakal.

You know im a little bit curious. Styrofoams ay paborito ng mga termites. Kahit naka semento yan. Nakakadaan ang mga termites, quick question lang: pag na infested na yan nga termites lahat sa loob. Siyempre bibigay yung wall diba. Yan ang iniisip ko.

How did SRC structures hold up against Haiyan? If they survived, this should be the only building material used to continue the rebuilding in coastal areas, aside from poured concrete structures that is. That said, I don't see how they could have survived the impact of the storm surge and the debris. Dual layer panels, such as foam panels with three inches of concrete and rebar sandwiched between them, should have survived everything Haiyan, provided everything was tied together and attached to a thick slab foundation. What a truly horrific typhoon. So sad. Many were killed and hundreds of thousands lost everything.

I was so happy to see the US respond immediately. This was followed by the swift response by nations across the globe to assist over 13 million people needing basic supplies just to survive. They literally had nothing.

The Philippine government was totally overwhelmed by the scale of destruction and the needs of it's people. Let's hope lessons were learned so the Philippine government is able to mobilize to renders assistance much.

Back to this product.... In such a warm and humid climate why are the panels so thin? I would think ICF construction is better suited for the region. Here we have a single thin layer of the cheapest, least efficient form of polystyrene: EPS (Extruded Polystyrene foam). Not only does this thin EPS have the least amount of insulation value, but it's perforated with thousands of holes to attach the steel cage, a magnet for corrosion. Then this flimsy sandwich is covered with layers of concrete slurry.

I see a lot of issues with this type of panel construction. The owners of these structures must stay on top of all cracks big and small to avoid the veneer of concrete from crumbling away because the steel cage covering both sides is expanding from rust, salt, other deposits left behind from moisture, and due to cycles of thermal expansion. Perhaps there are more layers on the exterior to prevent moisture intrusion and anti-corrosion measures.

In terms of seismic structural integrity... I can't see a two or three story structure surviving a large earthquake or even a moderate earthquake with prolonged shaking. Particularly with a heavy tile roof. Certain seismic wavelengths during less severe and short duration earthquakes could bring structure built with this panel system down. Even a single story structure with a heavy tiled roof. Yes, flexibly in a structure can prevent major damage and collapse. However this type of panel is too thin with poorly bonded thin layers of material. I could be wrong. To be clear I have not studied the specs for this panel system. My opinions are based solely on this little presentation and knowledge of the engineering requirements for one, two, and three story structures typically covered with heavy tile or metal roofs. As well as issues with steel corrosion within concrete.
