I went with Gunlancer to start and later made a Sorceress for my first alt.

I disagree a little bit with calling Paladin "Lost Ark's Tank". Gunlancer fits that niche better because the class can taunt and has a shield that can be switched on and off at will, allowing you to soak lots of damage and ignore knockbacks.

Paladin is really not a tank. They are more of a healer and support. Gunlancer's are the closet thing to this games tank.

I wanted to play Scouter because I miss my Iron Man from Marvel Heroes but now I'm playing Berserker while I wait because it's the only class that's available right now that appeals to me and I'm having fun with it as well

Keep in mind as well the Gender of a character also determine their play style so when considering which to play (even later in Lost Ark life) you will have to account for this as well. Male and Female characters have counterparts with each other but their play style is designed to be different intentionally. Eventually all classes will have a Male and Female version. There are rumors the next character to be released in KR is the Female Berserker.

Current counterparts for Male and Female characters are...

Deadeye (Male character) and Gunslinger (Female character)

Striker (Male character) and Wardancer (Female character)

i went bard for first char, not the most damage, but its enough to get the job leveling, the absurd amount of utility you get is quite nice, people will magically expect you to know every mehcanic perfectly cuz your a support tho in groups XD

ive been playing the deathblade and wardancer, pretty fun, after ive leveled and had some fun on them i think ill go for a barbarian!

Sorcerer is insane all you have to do is run around and gather mobs in large groups...

i always pick mage/wizard/sorcerer in games and always i get a bit disappointed but in lost ark i was pleasantly surprised :)
