Are Doctors Conspiring to Keep Us Sick?

If you have ever wondered if doctors are conspiring to keep us sick, you need to read Dr. Ken Berry's Book (link below). I can honestly say that I have come to the conclusion that doctors are not lying to us about how to be healthy on purpose.

Doctors are not presenting a clear and concise explanation of how to lose weight because the majority of doctors do not actually know how to explain weight loss. Doctos are under the false impression that the keto diet is not sustainable and that calories matter in weight loss. Neither of those ideas is true.

If you want to be healthy, educate yourself on the role of carbohydrates and hormones in metabolic processes and weight loss. Health and happiness take work. Make working on it part of your daily routine.

Thank you for watching!

Good Morning. They just practice what they were taught. Whether its accurate information is the real question.

This is one of the most important and insightful videos I’ve heard. You absolutely nailed it! You made so many points that resonated with me.
1) It’s not a conspiracy. Doctors are trained in allopathic medicine. This is medicine-based solutions for a specific problem.
If doctors were conspiring against us, then they would not chose to be plagued with the same problems we are!
2) Doctors are not trained to find the root cause. Their thinking is very linear because that is the way they have been taught. It is only when they have a vested interest in digging out the truth that they become more enlightened. They have spent years learning a way of practicing that they have an utmost faith in. This is also true of nutritionists. It is only when modern medicine fails them that they dig deeper. Sometimes their awakening comes from the miraculous results that their patients get from a keto or low carb diet. I truly believe that this is a grassroots movement that will change medicine from the bottom up!
3) you mentioned that the body will burn carbs first because carbs are a toxin. That is not what doctors and nutritionist have been taught. Example is the term healthy whole grains! They have been taught that carbs are our primary source of nutrition and energy. It is only in the last few years that we’ve become aware of an alternate fuel source for our body. It is also only in the last few years that we have come to understand the addictive power of carbohydrates.
4) I totally agree that we should prioritize our health over taste. Even if things are different now, nutrition is still a complex subject that is poorly understood...even by me. All I can do is continue to educate myself. It is an ongoing process. In the general population, there is no real understanding of the horrible effects of sugar on our system. There are so many sugar laden foods that we consume every day that are considered very healthy for us...Fruits, milk, whole grain breads and fruit juices to name a few. It is also true that the average person views fats as unhealthy. We have had many years of this indoctrination so it will take quite a few years to change people’s minds.

Greetings Violet.  You're too smart. You really know how to get a message across and that great.  I love listening to you. My Primary Doctor doesn't want me to do keto; he stuck on calories in, calories out but knows that starches and sugars needs to be kept to minimum.  I told him that I wanted to try keto. He said to only do it for 3 months because it's not sustainable. In those 3 months, my A1C went down 2 points. I'm only striving to keep my A1C low as possible; I know the weight will come of in time. I also know that keto works but sometimes I find it difficult to stay on track.  Why is that?  It's because I don't meal plan.  I do great for breakfast and lunch because I'm at work but once I get home, it's down hill from there. I still try to keep my carbs low as much as I can though. My Nurse Practitioner (NP) doesn't think that I should do keto as well but tells me to keep my carbs low; I think she's more accepting than my Primary Doctor because she knows what I'm trying to do.  Sometimes, both of them send mixed messages but I know that low carb is better than high carbs and I'll keep doing the low carbs until I get my overall health in check.  When I was in the hospital for 5 days, I requested low carb meals.  They sent me high carb meals until I realized that I could order my own meals. I went strictly low carb; and the carbs they did send I discarded. I tweaked the meals to my desire.Needless to say but I'll say it anyway:  I went on a 2 day sugar binge last week. Why?  I did it because I wanted to see what I was missing.  I found out real quick what I was missing. I was missing nothing but the sickness I went through eating junk. Candy bars, chips, cake, ice cream, crackers, bread,  and cookies; however, it wasn't all in one day and not all day long that I ate this way.  I was just trying out some things.  I realized that I was making myself sick and I felt it.  That experiment made me realize that I got nothing out of eating those sugary franken foods and it really did not amount to anything.  I feel better eating salads, meats, eggs, avocados, berries and dark green vegetables. Sometime we just have to try foods to see what we're allergic to.  Sugar and starches, one in the same, are nothing but pure poison.  Lessons learned. Now that I got it all out of my system, I vow to plan dinner while I'm at work because I have no excuse not to. Today's dinner will be hamburger without the bun a small salad and a few strawberries. Thank you for caring and doing all these wonderful videos.

I think doctors know how the food industry is pushing junk food, but not sure how one doctor could change it.

I don’t think doctors do it on purpose either. I do believe that pharmaceutical companies do it on purpose though: feed doctors wrong/ biased information. I also think doctors should use their critical thinking more.
