While I have been preparing for my own thru hike since last November, watching your videos has given me the confidence to head out sooner than later. I’ll be hitting the trail on Monday the 21st.

Ron Haven in Franklin told me back 2009 that Wayah in Cherokee means “wolf”. They pronounced it sorta like saying warrior. Phonetically it sounded like “War-ee-ya”. You’ve got such a great attitude. Love it. Stay mission focused and Katahdin will be your reward. Advance North!
