Thank you for your video. Community Nurse here: it's not just "simple, simple things" we get very complex situations.
We do insulins and anticoagulants and simple wounds. But also unstageable pressure ulcers (deep and smelly) leg ulcers treatment to large and heavy legs, IV medications. PICC lines care, end of life care with syringe drivers and controlled drugs injections involved, we do all type of catheters, we prevent hospital admissions, provide health education. We liaise with other health care professionals like GP, OT, PT, dietician, SALT, mental health team, safeguarding, order equipment...we go to patients house into the unknown. We face dogs, cats, fleas, hoarders and very unkept environment and people. We also go to care homes. It is flexible and you work on your own most of the time driving from house to house with your own car and paying for your petrol upfront and with a business insurance for your car. You need to be organised and have good time management skills. There's loads of paperwork and surprises along the day.

I really loved bedside nursing until I got my baby this year... my dear I cant manage it no more its to much ..I need a none clinical job please...community nursing aint sound bad or occupational health nurse. God knows I cant do this bedside thing anymore... Research huh... the options are many...Icantkillmyself
