Watches were made to tell the time. That’s it.
If it tells the date or has a stopwatch feature those are bonuses.
Anything which does more than that I don’t find to be a “watch.”
That’s a gadget at that point.

I hate to say it but I’m thinking of selling all my watches since getting an Apple Watch. I love my watches but they worth so much and getting out of the hobby and using my money more wisely will likely be a better long term investment.

It’s not an easy decision though

It's a battle for real estate. I don't own a smart watch because if I did, it would be hard for me to find general time for my mechanicals. Also, I think only apple does them justice and I'm fully enfranchised in Android.

battery life is the biggest drawback for apple watches. until we get thermal charging from the heat from the air/your wrist, where the battery can last indefinitely, i don’t see myself wearing one until my health gets down to a point where i need one

We praise Casio and bash Apple. I can’t make it make sense either. And no, you shouldn’t be throwing your Casio off a building or smashing it with a hammer (especially not while on your wrist… that would be bad), so please drop the durability argument.
