Gotta make an update video on this DJI is expandable now, has an app, and a 1Kw car charger. Probably beats the Delta now.

The DJI is expandable using the Power Expansion Battery 2000. you can daisy chain up to 5 of them.

I went with the dji 1000 it’ll be delivered today.
This is an update about receiving my DJI 1000 it’s amazing, its quality is amazing and quietly when charging they are not lying about how quiet this DJI 1000 PRODUCT really is. I didn’t need this DJI but I just wanted to have one for fun I hope it comes in handy.

So I am wondering here, why are we worried about amount of plugs on these power units when all you have to do is use a multi outlet strip. You are only going to pull about 15 amps for these devices at any one time anyway. Help me understand this? I have a Honda generator and it only has two plugs, but I can use a multistrip outlet and plug in as many appliances as I want, just can't run them all at the same time. Can we do the same with these solar gen/battery units. I like the ecoflow by the way.

I bought a Delta 2 in the summer when the refurb model dropped under $500. I wanted more backup capacity during brownouts and short blackouts while I work from home. But I just added the DJI Power 1000 to keep in my car. I could not beat the price of $480 during October Prime Days. I am a photographer who flies multiple DJI drones, so the SDC ports were the selling point. I can charge my Mavic 3 batteries about 50% faster than with the high-speed 120V charger. I can now charge Mavic batteries faster than I can consume them, and I have the USB-C ports for my Mini batteries and the 120V for my Canon chargers. This thing is never leaving my car, and my camera and drone batteries can now stay with it. Very convenient for someone who shoots or flies most days!

In addition, the USB-C ports on the DJI are rated for 140W. I have not seen that throughput on any other unit yet.

On the negative side, the fact that you have to pay extra for the cigarette charger or 12V power source and for the solar adapters is a little irksome. I also wish it came with the carry bag. Lastly, you hit on the annoying fact that the SDC ports are tied up if you're charging from 12V or solar. But it's still a perfect fit for my work style.

With the Bluetti AC180 still going for $500, that's been my recommendation for several people who've had power outages lately - they're never going to go camping or get solar panels - they're never going to expand. All they want is a way to power their fridge, maybe run a laptop and charge their phones, and then charge from their car if they're still without power when the battery dies. It has a few more watt hours than either of these for at least $100 less (for now). If it doesn't have as many plugs on the front, who doesn't have a power strip laying around?

You don't mention anything about the overheating issue with the Delta 3. Did that get resolved or are you recommending it with the overheating issue?

I fly drones but it's not a big part of my life. My main reason for wanting a power supply was more for a backup for whatever I wanted to do, but I still went with the DJI. The main reason for this was because I knew about the DJI employees starting EcoFlow and even more so I was able to pick up the DJI on Amazon on a black Friday sale for $419 with a $40 coupon making it $380 and I couldn't pass at that price. The EcoFlow was very close in price at $399, but I just felt safe with the DJI. In terms of plugging in more than 2 outlets I have already tried a power strip and it works just fine, so that's a quick fix for that issue and I love how freaking quiet it is! The main issue with the DJI for me is the lack of other outputs like the accessory output like whats in a car and the ability to plug in solar panels directly to the unit. I have already purchased the add-on for the solar panels for $59 and some basic solar panels from Amazon so we'll see. I have until January to return it, but I think I am going to be more than happy with it!

I appreciate your content. I just recently started getting into solar for some emergency backup and bought the delta 3 plus (it arrives tomorrow). I have been a fan of DJI and own several of there other products and love them so may end up picking up one of these as well eventually. thanks again.

I am just now looking into solar, power stations, etc and realizing that like a space heater will kill a power station in hour with use. WTH Dumb me was thinking that people are paying $$$ thousands, it must really be nice sh$$ -- stuff. To me, that is completely worthless. I have been without power for 4 days in Texas, those bonuses are more important than our grid, so this is no good. At least my gas generator lasted for a whole night. Am I missing something here? What is the hype about?

I chose not to waste $699.. I did the Black Friday deal and got it for $299 with the $99 DJI carry bag added for free .. Many sites still have that combo for $499

U completely failed to mention all the expensive dongles and clunky accessory cables u have to buy for the DJI to use it like a normal power generator with those features built in, and the sacrifice u make when trying to charge from solar panels while running other DC devices, and that the the DJI is only actually a 750 watt hour generator due to power loss inefficiency.

What a joke of a review...
