Thank you OPAZ for cool videos. One thing you don't mention(but certainly is aware of), is the vertical coverage angle. I have a set of 808 and 515 for smaller gigs, which I chose because of their weight and their 100X70 degree coverage. My concern about choosing NXL24A/44NXLA is their small vertical angle(25/30 degress). Isn't the NXL24A/44NXLA speakers much more sensitive when it comes to placement on stage and coverage of the audience? Fx if you are placed 1, 5 meter on a high stage or if you have a low ceiling, where you can't rise you speakers?

The RCF NXL 24A MK2 are excellent cabinets with great products. I have 4 of them and they do a great job for all of my outdoor events with up to 800 people and probably more. They are coupled with 6 of the RCF 8006 Subs. Just love

On the face of it there seems quite a significant difference between the 44's & 24's.

But ... !

Just recorded both sections of your audio and the 44's peak at -2.31db and 24's peak at -4.45db - so that certainly accounts for some of the difference.

However..

When both audio files are normalised to 0db the 44's definitely sound fuller and still sound louder although that maybe due to the wider stereo field the 44 recording seems to have ( peak LUFS with normalised files are pretty similar)

I have a pair of 24 mk2's which I do like ( largely purchased on the back of your review!), although I would have purchased the 44's at the time if I could have got hold of any..
44's are in stock again and I'm feeling the need to scratch that itch!

Still a bit bothered by that 25 deg vertical dispersion though and performance in smaller venues..


Anyway, many thanks for this upload - there is so little real-world info or reviews on these products, so yours is much appreciated.

Opaz, i love your videos. So im in the process of updating my mains from some QSC kw153s. I recently purchased some HDM45a for DJ type events and some smaller live sound gigs that don't require a sub due to venue size. I also do outdoor stuff and am now getting bigger gigs and the kw153 just do not throw well outside. Im currently looking at NXL 44 a mk2, nx985 or some TTw4-a. The ttl6a are out of price range and too heavy. What do you think the best choice would be? I currently have two QSC ks118 subs and may add a third. I ideally will always do center cluster subs in cardioid mode with speakers L/R on k&m heavy-duty crank stands sandbagged down. What is the best rcf option to upgrade for 500+ person outdoor lawn type events? The hdm45 could also be used as relays on a delay from the mixing console as well on conjunction with the mains if need be. Thanks for all the rcf videos!

Pair of RCF NXL-44A or pair of RCF ART 945A, which is better for both sound clarity and price wise ? Can these pair of speakers can handle Dj dance floor about 300 people without any sub ? - Mostly will be playing R&B and Hip-hop music. ( we do use subs, but I just wanna see if these speakers can handle it without a distorting sound)
