Block B is a seven member boy band consisting of Zico (Woo Jiho), Lee Taeil, B-Bomb (Lee Minhyuk), Ahn Jaehyo, U-Kwon (Kim Yukwon), Park Kyung, and P.O (Pyo Jihoon). They debuted in 2011 with the single “Freeze,” which was banned from Korean television programming before 10 PM for content deemed “too sexy”. But their mentorship under such Korean rap luminaries as Verbal Jint, shined through when their 2013 EP Very Good and its eponymous title track topped the charts in Korea and rose to #6 on Billboard’s “World Albums Chart.” Their music’s blend of energetic rap and a booming, catchy, dance beat has since become the group’s trademark. 2014 proved to be the defining year for Block B with the release of the singles “Jackpot,” which topped the charts in Korea, and the EP “H.E.R.,” which rose to #6 on Billboard’s “World Albums Chart.” In 2015, this energetic rap group debuted a sub group, BASTARZ, whose album “Conduct Zero” premiered at #3 on Korea’s Gaon Music Chart.
