My Setup:

Hi, I'm John, and I've been passionate about #history since I could remember. I majored in history and historical research and trained for a year under an actual historian. Ultimately, I am a History Buff like many of us. Let's #react and discuss things we know and so much we don't know about history!

I've had Americans arguing with me about British history with the words, "I know, because I'm English." No, chaps, you are not.

The fast food places in Europe are not selling the crap Americans eat. Most of the stuff sold in the US does not meet the lowest standards for food in Europe.

You have one point, many years ago in DC I was stood outside the American History Museum, shouting why do they need such a big building! Hope all is well John,

I'm in the UK, notorious for lack of foreign languages and I have studied around 14 languages. I rarely meet a European who doesn't speak at least three languages.

I love how Americans think everyone should learn English when they have never bothered.

Disrespect for monuments is done by other countries. Some Brits took selfies at Auschwitz and that is disgusting. Americans do seem to ignore boundaries more. In the UK, they will walk into peopls's gardens and peer in through their windows, they also yell when visiting churches.

This remind me of the average British Tourist going to Spain for the first time in the 1970s, they speak louder (in English) to the waiters so the Waiters can better understood what they want

I think f ood standards have a lot to do with American obesity . A lot of addatives and flavouring are allowed in the US that are banned in Europe . I've heard it said the Brits are the Americans of Europe . Certainly we became more integrated over the years with EU membership so it's not necessarily true .Younger people do learn other languages but there is still a bit of truth there .

Just in relation to 3 pieces

1. Trying to speak a bit of language make sure you do it respectfully but I have heard and yes not Europe but in Japan they rather you didn't try to speak it
2. The I have been to Europe don't forget Europe is a continent not a country. It be like be saying I have been to North America and been to Canada or Mexico
3. In relation to disrespecting monuments you should look up the couple who made the Eiffel Tower open late as they snuck into a place out of limits and got stuck or what happens if you graffiti the Colosseum. Its not just Americans even other Europeans do it

If you've been to London, that's not Eutope. That's on an island off the coast of Europe.
