background to this: ariel pink was upset for a number of things, mainly how coachella was accommodating him and his entourage i think. he tried ending the set early but when he tried leaving off stage he was confronted and told he had to keep playing. His ex-gf, geneva jacuzzi, also berated him to continue. When he went back up to the stage he refused to sing any of the songs.

So crazy cuz I grew up with Ariel and went to grade school with him. He was always such a nice, cool guy. I only found out he was doing music and was "famous" like a few months ago. Not many people know this but he's an incredible artist. He used to draw these incredible cartoons back in the day.

This audience is not aware of what they are listening too, they were just there. Ariel Pink did a great job - he hired an awesome band. They played the song great and did their part as they should have. I like this version of the song

i think it was cool to let the band get shine even if that wasnt the intention at least the rest of the band got to look like they wrote a song without the lead singer which is fortifying.

they are amazing anyway!!! i've seen them in barcelona and they were incredible!! nightime... and everybody was into it, half of the pretty huge crowed knew the lyrics ... we were singing .. we had a great great time ... and so did they! thank you guys!!!

I took a writing class with this cat once many years back and we have mutual creative acquaintances who in form or another have elevated from the masses. Good on him for doing his thing. Sorry the brutha had a bad day though.
