MRI technologist here. The pituitary study that would have diagnosed this takes 30-40 minutes and would be almost entirely covered by half-decent insurance (maybe $1000 if paid for entirely out-of-pocket). It’s insane that such a routine exam was not ordered by any of his doctors, though sadly I cannot say I’m surprised 😑 Kudos to Derek for helping this poor guy get the care he needed 👏

I literaly have a hard mass on the right side of my neck under the clavicule and doctors have been telling me im fine for 3 years, now my breathing is impaired and I have trouble / pain moving my arm, and i can feel pressure while swollowing, so now im scheduled an MRI. 3 YEARS AFTER. Doctors really need to understand we know how our body should feel. Specially when you did sports all your life.
