Never saw a Fossil case that didn’t scratch very easily and look like it was media blasted in two weeks. I can only assume the internals are made with equally amazing metallurgy.

My old Fossils were junk. Hard to replace the batteries and a two of them wouldn't work even going back to Fossil. Hope you have good luck with the new ones.

A couple months ago i got a really beautiful watch. Wenger Field. All black, band, crown and jewel. White face, chrome/ white hands with a Swiss army red second hand. Gorgeous for under $50. Well over $100 when it first came out. Love it!

Ugh...yet another review where Nut’n fails to mention that the fine timepiece he’s sprooking is rocking a $10 made in China quartz movement. You can find crappy like this littering the streets of Shaing Hai. If you want to wear embarrassing crap on your wrist, fine. However, don’t pretend that it’s a “value prop”.

I'm sorry but I have to totally disagree. There is literally no comparison between a sweatshop watch and anything swiss. In fact this watch can't even reach a Seiko 5 in terms of quality. This is a fashion watch. Just because it doesn't look like a MVMNT or DW does not mean it is not a fashion watch. However just because it has similarities in appearances to a Breitling doesn't mean its in the same ballpark as swiss. For anyone reading this, do not purchase this watch. Go for a Seiko, Timex or Casio, or even a reputable micro brand if you're looking for a watch on a budget. If you do not care about the watch on your wrist, and just care about looks or what time it is, then go for this. But if you want a piece that will last, one with durability and accuracy, and one you can care about wearing, go for one of these recommendations.

I made a practice of never paying full price for a Nate Watch, and own three. Mine are black case / grey face / olive band, black chrome case / navy face / silicone blue band, and a stainless case / olive face / harness strap. I switch between watches based on what I’m wearing. Because of the aforementioned purchase policy, I hammer these without guilt. The keepers do wear out, but I’m running each of mine two to three days a week. Fashion watch? Yup, but I don’t really care. A poorly installed battery on the green one led to water intrusion, and I sent it back, paid their fee, and got my watch back in working order, so they are repairable. Each one fills a niche for me. I accept them for what they are, and they make me happy (2nd Cool?). Besides, it’s my soap . . .

A few months ago, I bought a new Glycine Airman Double Twelve GL0061 for $300. It's a swiss made automatic with hacking and a date complication. Sapphire crystal front and back. Its been an awesome watch gaining about seconds per 24 hours. Give a Glycine a try. They make a combat sub too but I figured you'd like an Airman model. I see you liking the Chief or the Base 22.

I'm not surprised Nate made your collection. I have one Nate in my collection and love it. Although I haven't modified it other than replacing the bracelet with a Barton black and orange band. Me personally I like the dial stealth look. The orange pop from inside of the Barton band is perfection. You want to talk about 2nd type of cool do yourself a favor and research Citizen Q&q watches. The one in my collection cost me 21 dollars and it's solar with a respected Miyota movement. You think Nate shows up strong do yourself a favor and run down the shocking Q&q rabbit hole! Nice video!!

You left out Inglorious Bastards. On another note I really enjoy the watch reviews. Hamilton makes some really good watches that aren't crazy expensive. They aren't cheap but they are a quality product. The Khaki series is good.

I keep looking at new watches and smartwatches but then I think about the knife or gear item I could buy with the money and pass on the watch. I have a ten year old Timex and a five year old cracked Fitbit, I had a metal case Casio I loved but it failed. For now I'll stick with what I have and just keep looking.

If the indicies were white I'd like it. My Momentum fieldwalker/Islander pilots watch ISDl-46 (basically the same watch...they even use the same movement lol) or the Casio Protrek PRW-6600Y-1A9CR are more my style. I don't have that Protrek yet but I love my Protrek 600 Safari I but on a Barton leather strap and this new version tickles my fancy even more because of the white indicies and even better legibility
