This is honestly one of the best melody tutorials I’ve seen. Answered all the questions that other videos usually don’t.

Its nice to realize that most if not all of these tips I already practice. Makes me believe I'm on the right track! Great video

12:30 What I try to do is, adjust the velocities manually first. I emphasize the one's I specifically want and then I randomize that to give them a more human feel. Usually, that prevents having velocities that are too out of place.

Bro u are so sweaty about this topic. Like most producers are like “just get a feel for it” and you’d like well u need to go up a half a semi tone down by the third but no less than the 5th. And I love it. Ur amazing

The names of the scales come from the places in Anatolia (currently Turkey). All the scales are based on the music that people played in certain areas of Anatolia. For example, the phyrigian scale is from Phyrgia.

AYE-OH-LEE-IN (mode) (diatonic) literally a natural minor scale. All those Weird names are subsets of scales (modifications) which means alternate note groupings that sound good together.

I have been producing for close to 4 years, I've dabbled in making my own melodies but they usually don't sound that good. So I sticked to using loops. This tutorial is really good, I've just made my first actual decent sounding melody with it. I hope I can keep it up!

You dont have to remember scales on FL, you can just use the scale helper and chose the scale you want.
