Understanding Hezbollah:
Tactics of Repression and Violence, Threats to Israel and Beyond
Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 11:00am EST
In this webinar, ADL’s Task Force on Middle East Minorities hosts a stellar group of experts to discuss the past, present and future of the terrorist organization Hezbollah. The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Lebanese proxy Hezbollah represents a threat to Jews not only in the Middle East but also worldwide. The panelists present the ideological, strategic, military and political background of Hezbollah, examining the movement’s development and what to expect next. Understanding the urgent threat posed by Hezbollah – as an entity and as an expression of the Iranian regime’s regional ambitions – is more important than ever.
Moderator: Shadi Martini, the Chief Executive Officer of Multifaith Alliance and the co-chair of ADL’s Task Force on Middle East Minorities
Introductory remarks: Marina Rosenberg, ADL's Senior Vice President for International Affairs
Panelists:
Carole Nuriel, ADL’s Senior Regional Director of Israel and Middle East and North Africa.

Behnam Ben Taleblu, Senior Fellow at Foundation for Defense of Democracies, ADL’s Task Force on Middle East Minorities member
