Music: Graciano Gómez
Lyrics: José Rotulo

Fixing a 'love lock' on to the Pont des Arts before throwing the key into the River Seine became such a tradition for lovers and an attraction for tourists that part of the bridge's railings collapsed under the weight. Close to one million locks, weighing 45 tonnes were finally removed from the bridge and the railings replaced by panels. The Pont de l'Archeveche near the Notre Dame cathedral has also had locks removed. - June 2015.

ADIÓS, PARÍS

¡Adiós París... chau mi París!...
Quiero volver a mi Argentina.
Quiero poder acariciar un día
Tantos recuerdos que dejé por vos.
No puedo más vivir así
Quiero besar a mi viejita,
Poniendo mi corazón
Juntito a su corazón
Para llorar de emoción.

¡Adiós, mi París, adiós!
Chau, juventud perdida.
Yanet, bésame Yanet
Dame al besar, la vida.
Yo volveré... después
Ya verás, Yanet
Cuántas alegrías.
El dolor que te doy por él
Mucho más amor
Mucho te daré.
¡No llores, vida mía!

Chau, mi París, adiós...
Un bandoneón con su gemir
Al corazón le habló de ausencia,
Y pudo más la voz de mi querencia
Que me llamaba con su bandoneón.
Siempre serás, viejo París
El que me vio llegar un día
Buscando tu boulevard,
Sin presentir encontrar
El corazón de Yanet.

GOODBYE, PARIS

Goodbye Paris... Bye my Paris!
I want to go home to my Argentina.
I want to cherish one day
So many memories that I left for you.
I can't carry on living like this
I want to kiss my old mother
Placing my heart
With her heart
To cry with emotion.

Goodbye my Paris, goodbye!
Farewell my lost youth.
Jeanette, kiss me Jeanette
In that kiss, give me life.
I will return... later
You'll see, Jeanette,
So many joys.
The sorrow that I bring you through it,
Much more love,
I will give you, much more.
Don't cry, my love!

Bye, my Paris, goodbye...
A bandoneon with its groan
Spoke to my heart of absence,
And it was more the voice of my home
That was calling to me with its bandoneon.
Old Paris, you will always be
The one who saw me arrive one day
Looking for your boulevard,
With no idea that I would find
Jeanette's heart.
