The Seeker (feat. Pete Townshend & Nakhane) is the first single from Rachel Fuller’s album of the same name.

Inspired by the timeless story of self-discovery and enlightenment in Herman Hesse’s novel, Siddhartha, originally published in 1922 and which to date has sold over 100 million copies worldwide, composer Rachel Fuller’s The Seeker is a musical reinvention of Siddhartha’s message of hope. With additional music and lyrics written by Pete Townshend, the album includes narration by the late Christopher Plummer, and features a dazzling array of performances from Pete Townshend, Sir Elton John, Nakhane, Emeli Sandé, Layton Williams, Sunidhi Chauhan and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

A world premiere, one-night only performance of The Seeker to celebrate the launch of the album and accompanying illustrated novel will take place at Theatre Royal Drury Lane on Wednesday 6 November, and will feature Pete Townshend, Alfie Boe, Sunidhi Chauhan, and more, together with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Single available on all streaming platforms now

The second Who song I heard on the radio back in 1970.The first one was "See me, feel me".That was all it took to make me a Who freak!
God bless you Mr Peter Dennis Blandford Townshend!!!!❤

Bravo ! Very well done Rachel ! The visuals are stunning and the musical arrangement and the vocals by Nakhane and Pete really blend together well. Nakhame visuals and voice is a beauty. I always though the "The Seeker" could have been a perfect closer to either "Tommy" or "Quadrophenia". They changed the lyrics a little bit, to omit references to the Beatles and Bobby Dylan. The song s significance grew with this version.

6 or so decades of Wagnerian ambition and Townshend just needed Fuller to get there!

For a better Who remake, try Baba O’Riley by HoneySuckle
