I've been using Firefox for like almost 20 years. Should I just quit the internet? Quit my programming job and take up carpentry?

OK, Firefox is done now. The only reason to still use it has just disappeared.

Why don't they reduce their ridiculous expenses instead of destroying their product.

This is a sad day for me. Over 15 years of using FireFox come to an end. LibreWolf it is.

Why make a periodic pop up window asking for donations (like Wikipedia) when you can just break your promise to never sell user data?

Considering that the removed parts appear highlighted in red color, the saying of "Getting caught red-handed" is pretty darn fitting.
Been using Firefox since it still had one digit version numbers ... I guess I'll switch to one of its forks and won't look back ever again.

So this brings up an interesting question. If I go to a medical website that I’m using HBS to communicate with my doctors office and I enter in confidential medical information does this mean that Firefox and other browsers could take my unencrypted data that I was in the forms when I post and use it for their own purposes in addition to sending it over SSL to my doctors office backend? Is this possible? Of course it is. But is it legal? Is it being done?

Them sending home whatever I enter into a search input or other web form is a huge breach of trust and cannot be legal in the EU.

Oh good Lord... They are doomed... I'm about to migrate to Linux because I'm tired of Windows Telemetry and part of that migration included trying Firefox because Chrome is part of the same problem... Im sick of this nonsense, everyone and their mom is squeezing data from us. I know my data is nothing special but I'm not ok with the idea of not having privacy.

There's hope for ladybird. Just don't let it fall into the same slop as these big browsers.

An antitrust suit against Google for search ending up giving them a monopoly for browsers is ridiculous.

Wait a minute... hear me out... they told everyone they would never do this and now they are doing it... isn't that a violation of their own terms and conditions? lol

We've been tricked, we've been backstabbed and we've been quite possibly, bamboozled.

17:30 I never understand these kinds of policies: "you are not allowed to [use our product to] break the law"
Isn't this kind of redundant? The law already says it's illegal, so now it's double illegal?
Who is this for?
"Oh, I was going to commit a crime and break the law, but Mozilla said I'm not allowed to break the law so now I won't" ???
