He has two opposing the other two, so it has equal retaining force 180 deg opposite each other. That will not work. They must be out at least 60 deg.

The concept of spring generator is good, however there are some inherent flaws, these flaws can be resolved, need a trail and error to refine, as you have explained these are used in industries, there are some improvements required. 1. The Spring generator with 8 springs at 45 degrees each is a good design for running heavy alternators to produce energy, even the flywheel to be heavy and in equilibrium with the springs tension, need to take high quality springs, how this works is when it rotates an alternator it produces a desired energy, and from that same energy, we need to add a motor to rotate the flywheel whenever the flywheel reduces its required spin the motor will support the rotation, few electronics are also required to take into account like speed sensors and automatic switches when the speed reduces the motor will spin the flywheel to compensate the loss and when inertia acts and makes the flywheel to run at the desired speed the support motor will just rotate without power. means to make the spring generator successful we need additional inputs and use of electronics and some variable frequency drives... to help the world the get energy....

designed and built not to work, with opposed springs to cancel each other. Stored energy (joules) in the spring is limited by extension. The stored energy (joules) in the FW is dependent of velocity, which is the larger of the 2.

It won’t work with the springs placed 180 degrees from each other. That’s why when it stops it rocks back and forth. One revolution is 360 degrees. Divide that by the number of springs and place the springs at that degree location on the shaft. Just like the crankshaft of an engine. Would be interesting to see one built on the precise location and see what happens. If I had time I would build one to see what happens.

Perhaps it is better to use Three Springs on peripheral corners (0 - 90 - 270 ) on the axis .

Thank you for proving that the rather crude replica that YOU built does not work. Now, to prove that the concept itself is flawed, correct all the flaws in your machine, try again and give us the results. The flywheel must be round and balanced. The springs must be adjustable, properly tensioned and at the correct angles. The whole machine must be in balance and not flailing around, so it adopts a smooth, resonate balance. You can definitely achieve a longer run-time than you did with this version.

The angles at which the the spring stand in relative position to one another matters. so that as they are osilating, the force produce by the two spring in one side should be a support to the force produce by the springs in the opposite side. And the down side of the springs must be in one straight line.

Guys, stop and think...what causes the machine to start? Ok, by rotating the flywheel very fast? So now the flywheel is spinning, and pulling with the same force on the springs with every rotation...same force means no new energy is introduced, and it will stall once the rotational energy in the flywheel is used up, how soon it stops depend firstly on flywheel size, initial rotation speed, as well as friction on the bearings, weight of the parts, (gravity just loves any sort of weight, needing more energy to move) atmospheric friction etc...hope this helps understand these fake perpetual machines. It will rotate longer with just the flywheel....
