Why your outlets Do not work. Even when breaker is ON

Ok, first let me say I am by no means a professional videographer. I made this video in hope to help someone find out why their outlets may not be working. There is no fancy effects, editing, music, just kind of spur of the money.

I don't know how old this video is but I am very excited right now. By watching your video and following your advice, you saved me from having to call my landlady and/or an electrician. I live in an 80+ year old house with outlets that are probably just as old. In the garage, there are 3 outlets and first one has full power, second one had partial, and the third was working and then it wasn't. Following your advice, I was able to find a loose ground at the middle outlet that fed the third outlet. Shut the breaker off, removed outlet just enough to access the screws on the side and tightened the screw(s). Double checked the other outlets as well. So now I have full power. Thank you for your video and advice!!! 💯

I searched this electrical problem. Couldn’t figure it out. Breaker didn’t trip this time as usually did. 3 outlets were out. And you’re exactly right. I replaced the first dead outlet and now they all work. Thank you. You saved me a $250 electrician call.

Just want to thank you for sharing your knowledge. I had no power to sockets in my attic bedroom for over a year. Something else was always more important for my money, so I just lived with it. I followed your tips, opened the sockets . Found one where it was immediately clear the live wasn’t connected. All working now.

Appreciate the advice! Just changed an outlet in my daughter's room and still wasn't working. Found your video which explained the daisy-chaining of electrical outlets and realized the outlet on the other wall was causing the issue. Replaced it and the last one in the chain began working! Amazing advice and appreciate you taking the time to make this video!

best explanation I have found, thanks Buckeye Electric....I'm skilled carpenter, welder, plumber, but never did the electric scene...just brought a home and was putting in water proof laminate flooring when the power went out in the garage....I have checked the breaker, it's on....now I known how to systematically track down the should make videos and call them "ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS AT YOUR HOME FOR DUMMIES"

Thank you for this video. I had a dead outlet because the 'back stabbed' wiring had failed. Wired up new outlet using the side terminals and now it's better than new. I owe you a beer.

Great video, I thought I might have to call an electrician this morning. After watching this I traced down to the last working outlet and let just unscrewed the connections for the next in line one and resecured everything (non of the screws were even hand tight). Turned the breaker back on and everything is working again!
