Pull all their licenses and force them to be unable to ever be able to extract oil again in addition take them to jail for criminal acts against Earth!

At this point, it's not a leak. It's a dump.

As I've studied lies in about 400 feet of water. It doesn't matter if it's just now that we found out about. The response is kind've surprising as from where I sit looks like a Chinese fire drill. The same thing happened with the deep horizon. No focus and indicates that no training or spill readiness. They tried installing a dome that will cover the leaking wellhead. It very much seems like putting a band aid on and need experience.
I'm the designer of the caphead spool that was used in stopping the deep horizon's macondo well spill in 2010. I'm an oilfield employee working in Alaska's North slope in Prudhoe Bay at the Kuparuk river unit for a company subcontracted to conoco Phillips. I also have over 30 years experience in pipeline repair and maintenance.
What happened with the deep horizon incident highlighted many problems such as spill response contingencies. Problems with a failed blowout prevention system.
My best guess is that the bureau of safety and environmental enforcement regulations aren't strict enough. On land based oil production plants safety regulations require periodic inspection of pipelines and valves. Spill response training is practiced. Records are kept of inspections. Pipelines are inspected and repaired.
With the deep horizon incident I was involved in as I watched the spill response crew cutting bent sections of pipe away from the wellhead. This left several feet of wellhead

🚨🤔Is there anyway that oil can be captured, processed & put to good use? Is there a way to cap the underground well? Or divert the oil to an island & process it there?

Didn't get to finish my last comment. The Bureau of safety and environmental enforcement regulations aren't as strict as regulations required for land. When we have a spill happens that spill contingencies as well as response no one knows what to do.
The same blow prevention systems that failed the deep horizon are being used today. 2019 and are used on all ocean based drill platforms.
I was involved in the deep horizon spill as I'm the designer of the caphead spool that was used to stop the spill but didn't patent my design and was claimed by British petroleum. The Taylor spill looks as the well wasn't abandoned properly by filling the wellhead with cement/slurry mix. With little or no one holding their feet to the fire to make sure it's done is going to leak sooner or later. Unless they get someone like me on-site is gonna look like a Chinese fire drill.
My plan is to market my design of a safer blowout Prevention system and start my own deep water repair company specializing in ocean based oil production drill platforms. This lol leak I can fix. "007".

They do it on purpose. These types of oil spills shouldn’t be happening at all.

Disgusted that they didn’t cap this well right after the hurricane!!! Wtf are they waiting

It did not trigger it. They had made a record and want to have their company party instead of relieve a pressure pocket that should have been relieved
