today our teacher picked the seats who we had to sit with and I went out i and a boy who when he found out said he didn't want to sit with " one of the worst " so I got up and defended myself everyone laughed at me and I know that if I had kept quiet none of my " friends " would have done it. probably now everyone thinks I am crazy but I am proud of me and I don't care

- stop letting people get away with doing things to you.
- you have a right to defend yourself
- you deserve empathy too, you can still be a nice person and still not let things get to you, it's just respecting yourself
- not everyone deserves your unconditional empathy
- stop making excuses for them, "they went through a traumatic childhood" or "they have a inner child", so? so do you but you don't use your trauma to hurt others do you?
- as a Muslim care about what others feel but do not let them take advantage of you. be kind but wise.
- you can't be the good guy for everyone, stop people pleasing.
- you can forgive. but don't let things and ppl get to you
- never share your traumatic experiences with anyone that you shouldnt trust
- never let anyone gaslight you
- leave at the first red flag, don't want for the explosion.
- some people will want to keep you quiet bc of how powerful u are
- become your authentic self and stop fearing judgement of people who are full of fear themselves

- defending yourself will protect you from people wanting to control you in order to make themselves feel stronger

This video came at such a right timing.

I recently have cut ties with someone because of her abusive behavior.
Multiple people were quick to be understanding to her and overstep, telling me what I and another friend should have done despite not knowing anything about the situation.
I personally have gone to a point in my life that I will no longer be polite to people that aren't considerate of me, I am going to put people in their places very quickly upon finding out what happened.
I am done being a people pleaser, people can feel hurt if they messed up, I don't want to stay silent about how I feel and what I've been through, even if my friend wants to hide, I will not hide away and also stand up for them just as much.
I will show my anger, I will show everything I feel. I'm not forgiving to anyone that has enabled her, their only chance is to apologize after overstepping.
