My boss does a socket and paper. Put paper between nut and socket (maybe two layers of the piece of paper) then it grips the nut into the socket. Put some threads and pull socket then boom.

I'm a full time mechanic and I put brake lube inside of the socket, put the nut in the socket with an extension and set it on the threads. A bit messy but works every time

I tear off a tiny piece of paper towel and stick it between the socket and nut, it creates enough friction to be held upside down and not fall off. using a screwdriver is risky because you have to hope the nut stays on as you exchange the screwdriver for your socket

Still have to remove the screwdriver to get a socket on there. Better to just put a piece of paper in a socket, or put a magnet on a socket

Socket with the tacky grease for me... It works and the bolt and nut will never rust 😅

Also you can use a magnet!!! That way you can get it started too!

extension, socket, and electrical tape. Saw my brother do it. He's a full time mechanic. you can do it by hand, but you will eventually have to put a socket or a wrench on it to tighten it.

Long magnet works the same. And you can even start the bolt with it.

No skrewdriver, you take Sigarett paper ouroud the Nutt, so then you skvis it in to the pipe whit the forlonger and so skrewing it on the bolt.

Nut wax, just a small bit onto the head of the nut or bolt will hold it in the socket. Works great, or use a magnet. The screwdriver trick works for nuts but not for bolts

That’s solid for nuts and studs with a clear line of sight

I put the nut in a socket and find the stud or hole thata way. It’s amazing the dexterity you gain

Bonus tip would put the socket on it too and slide them both down and then start the extension
