If it's an incompatibility with your graphics card, you should be able to confirm it by unchcking use gpu in preferences so you are processing using just your cpu. If that's the case, an update down the road will probably take care of it.

Anthony, thanks for the updates on the update. You and I must have had our iMacs built on the same bench. After watching this, I attempted to remove someone from a picture on both my MBP and iMac. I got the same results that you did. I guess the wait for a bug fix has already begun.

I used to use gen fill to remove skin blemishes, like larger scars or stretch marks but now instead of generating skin it tries to add items to the skin, like jewels or buttons or other weird stuff. I preferred the previous version

The basic remove tool has been driving me nuts for the past couple of weeks. Simple tasks, like removing marks or scratches from old negative scan Tifs and I'm getting crash after crash, with the warning that Photoshop encountered a problem and needs to close, totally unpredictably. I've taken to saving the image every 2 or 3 'removes and it's a pure pain. Welcome to the 1990s Adobe.

Oh thanks for this .... for a couple of reasons .... as usual your information is excellent and so well presented. The Second reason .... the street image you used .... I immediately said hey, I know that place! It's the corner of Prescott and Gower Streets looking towards the Harbour in St. John's Newfoundland, Canada. I am not from the Rock but you always remember downtown St' John's. Thanks for that also!

Anthony, I have a 2020 iMac with a Radeon graphics that compatibility problems with Denoise leaving white squares on images. That was corrected with newest update. After watching your video I tried removing people in a scene in Photoshop like you demonstrated and voila "Don't see any people " We fix one thing and break another.

I've had some Develop features become inaccessible, when (in Library mode) I have any filters applied. Turn off filters, features come back (Auto exposure, as well as person masks is what I encountered).

Something I also noticed in settings is reduce monitor saturation is turned on to 25% and my images looked different in Camera Raw than in Photoshop. I reduced the number to zero and things matched.

I love that you show the Gen fill in videos but don’t use it in real life. And I totally understand because even if it does a good job of building something in the image the restriction of the resolution to1024x1024 is a deal killer for me because I print my images for the most part. Other products are bringing out similar AI functions but nevertheless the resolutions are too low to be useful. I think a Shakespeare quote fits this - "much to do about nothing"

I tried the remove people tool on my iMac this morning and it didn't work. Then, I noticed that PS had an update available. After the update, it works!!

I had an issue a couple days ago with the new updates. I sent an LR classic edited photo to PS and used the power line feature and it worked great. However when I sent it back to LR classic the power lines were still there. I decided to export it from LR and lo and behold the power lines were gone. Using Mac Studio M1.

Does the power line removal work locally (no cloud)? It has a generative content replacement quality to it ...

The remove tool in 2025 is no where as good as it was in 2024. I tested the same images and 2025 does not work any way near as well as 2024 version did.

Shouldn’t powerline removal be in Lightroom?

When I try this on my 2017 iMac I get the progress bar that gets about 1/2 way & then it just stops! When I try to close the feature the computer now freezes! I then have to force quit & re-open P/shop.

Excellent video and insight. Curious to know if you visited St John’s or was that simply a stock photo? I enjoy all your videos on Lr & Ps please keep em coming. Thank you
