First off, I adore the shape and movement in this piece. It's so lovely. Regarding the paints, I know a lot of people have warned against letting QoR dry in pans but I have not encountered them being less vibrant when rewet, at least no more so than any other brand. Also keep in mind that these tubes are smaller than the typical 15 ml so ml for ml they're more expensive than Daniel Smith. I keep a few select colors on my palettes (their diox purple and quin magenta are stunning) but generally can't justify the added cost for most colors.Oh! And also, some of their darker earth tones have a streakiness to them, which I noticed on your swatch. I can't get my burnt sienna to lie our flat, though I do use their Raw Umber regularly. I do LOVE their swatches online though and deeply appreciate that from them.

Those swatches must have taken forever for them to compile. I respect their throughness.

I haven't notice a problem with reactivating my QoR paints, and I've had them in pans since christmas. I love them for their vibrancy. The diox purple and quin magenta are my absolute favorites.

i relly like the name "aquazol" is pretty smart cuz Aerosol= something that spreads on air
Aquazol= something that spreads on water

I love Qor paints! They're actually a brand that I mention in a lot of my palette build videos.... though not by name. =>.>= True story! I started with Qor with a random handful of paints from that art shop we went to, and decided I liked them enough to get more. So I got the big 24 or 36 set or whatever it is. Partly for the paints, but also for the big, beautiful metal tin because it has a lot of potential as an ultimate travel watercolor kit.

So I went about labelling my pans, putting magnets on them, filling them, and then setting them aside to dry, with the lid open even though it means there's plenty of Bubba hair in my paints at the end. =>.<= Well, I'm a numbskull and somehow ended up pretty much immediately forgetting they were there and knocked ALL of them down onto my carpet. =;_;= And of course, like you said, they are super staining and don't really lift that so there's still quite a large purple spot on my carpet. Hahahah. Oh well.

Love the way that wolf head came out! Especially the tears-which look great with the white on top of the blue. Mmm hmm.

I like the warmth of this glowing skin you painted there, it's really pretty. I've never tried out QoR myself, but they seem to be very nice - although I'm not sure if it justifies the price. They are way more expensive here than Schmincke or Daniel Smith.

Very lovely flowy piece. Super happy to hear QOR has made your list!! I haven't experienced any lack in pigment after putting the colors in pans and letting them dry. My first swatches of them from tube and dry in pan are nearly identical. They do reactivate very quickly and there are a few colors I've come across that were incredibly sticky and took a lot of scrubbing to remove from my porcelain palettes. I would strongly recommend buying the sets for those dipping their toes in. It's a lot cheaper for a set of 6 or even 12 (5ml tubes) on blick and amazon than buying the 11ml tubes.

Love the piece. Hear what you're saying about the luminosity of the skin at the start, but I still love it at the end. So evocative and powerful. Gorgeous. You inspire me so much. I have grown so much from watching your videos.

I can't get over how much I love the hand and arm! Am I the only one to get stuck, completely transfixed by certain details or parts in works of art? I mean, I love the whole thing! But just, I mean, that hand?! 😍

This piece looks amazing, if you hadn't told me you weren't happy with it 100% I wouldn't have known. I use my QOR in a pan and haven't seen any issues with rewetting so you will to totally safe rewetting from your palette. Look forward to seeing what else you paint with these.

Your art is so lovely. Everything has so much life to it, I love it! Great review of these paints! I don't really know anything at all about paints, so it was interesting to hear you talk about the colour flowing. I had no idea that could differ between watercolour brands !

Ooh this video is awesome, I have some experience with Qor watercolours, but I struggled with achieving the vibrancy others did, but I often reactivated paints instead of using them from the tube, so I will definitely give the straight from the tube a try! :D

I love the artwork you've created, it's so inspirational.

the thing i really love is that since these are so vibrant, a little seems to go a long way, at least for me!

QoR was the first brand of professional paints that I purchased. I still have the ORIGINAL 5ml tubes that I purchased in introductory sets. And it has been over TWO YEARS. Whereas I go through my Daniel Smith really fast because they don’t compare to QoR vibrancy. I poured the paints into half pans over two years ago and the colors react well and are still vibrant. I still have to be careful to not put too much at first when I’m trying to slowly build up saturation. Daniel Smith fresh from the tube is less vibrant than my dried QoR pans. It’s nuts how long these paints last and I paint everyday and I sell my artwork. From time to time, I do paint straight from the tubes. (The original ones that I still have paint in) and this is when I’m painting something Thani want EXTREME vibrancy. Best purchase I’ve ever made.

I loved how these paints curve and flow on the painting as if it’s an actual 3d surface. It’s so cool.💙

I have QOR in tubes, dried in pans, and as a pan set. If any configuration of QoR is most concentrated in color, it's the pan set. But they are all pretty amazing. They're also vegan, made in the US, and that flow....wow! I've tried Sennelier, W&N, Mission Gold, and a limited amount of DS. But I'm hooked on QoR because of the way they move. As you said, it's mesmerizing.
