Had some nice crab beds for those fish to feed on. Great vid and great fish. Stalked a beach I used to fish years back. Saw a few sliders but they weren’t in feeding mode even though everything was set up perfect, trough to channel to huge crab bed. That’s the way it goes. Never even made a cast because in the 2 hours I was there because the opportunity never prevented itself.

We fish them after dark till 1-2 am here mostly with molecrabs like you do around November through mid February.

Nice dude. 👊🏽 Man idk why they put the hook keeper there on the Rockaway . I just got the 10’ and I like to put my thumb up on the blank right next to that when I fish. Seems like such an odd spot for it, and on the side of the blank too. Haven’t gotten to try the rod out yet but I’m worried that might be an issue. You seem to keep your hand lower, but I might have to cut that thing off! 😂

Hey Benji I surf fish in socal too, is low tide your favorite time to go for big Corbina? So far I've only caught some tiny tiny ones but I've seen a good amount of big ones in the surf, and even had one headbutt my ankle pretty hard while it was going for a sandcrab

I’m moving to santacruz in a bit less than a month and I want something to pair with my 3000 Daiwa fuego. I want to learn how to throw the lucky craft but most of what I do is throwing 1/4- 3/8 oz swimbaits in the sf bay for halibut. My sst ml works fine for it but it has trouble the lucky craft. Which model off rockaway should I get to throw swimbaits and the lucky craft? Is there another rod you would recommend?
