Pretty true. The EEs just give the MEs something to plug into and they put the lights in the room.

I have a BSEE and spent 35 years as an embedded software engineer. Loved every minute of it.

You’ve GOTTA do biomedical engineering. It’s one of the fastest growing bachelors, kind of taking the place of computer science in terms of high pay and extreme job stability/demand for them, as the market is SATURATED with computer science majors.

I’m an aerospace engineer doing advanced radar and signal processing. A good engineering degree can move your career in mysterious ways! Enjoy and be curious!

I have a BSME and a MSEE. Either is a good choice. Both degrees are very general and will allow you a broad range of job options. I don't think one is any harder than the other. Just choose the one you enjoy most.

I studied for electrical eneneering in russia for 2 years, which was really bad: salary 40k rub ($400) from start and goes up to 160k ($1600 a month), after like 6 years. I switched to public administration and never regreted it, now I work as a backend developer)

Not sure what your message is trying to be. If you find the right job and the right company, they can keep it interesting for an entire career and if you are good at it, they will pay you well. The best part about being highly specialized is that it will be a long time before you are replaced by automatons.

Electric power EE here, i diverged a bit from most and have 2 bachelor's degrees physics and EE with minor in math. I always tell people especially working in power you need to be a bit of a "jack of all trades". You kinda need to have an understanding of ME, physics, chem, etc. to be effective in the power industry. Same goes for ME's in the power industry. But what people alwys forget is that the most important skill is being a people person/team player/good communication skills. Youll never do anything if you cant work with other people effectively.

As an EE, it is much more common to run into an EE with a superiority complex. If you disagree with me it is probably because you are my lesser. Peasant.

Mechanical all the way, pick up the other skill sets on the go, as you work after graduation.

Chemical. Chemical engineering is the hardest, then electrical.

Nobody calls an Electrical Engineer a rocket scientist; if you wanna go the "hardest part" as far as difficulties, that honor goes to your fellow mechanical engineers.

I disagree. Electrical is such a broad major, you can go pretty much anywhere. Same with mechanical

Engineering is for nerds. Applied engineering is where the good shit is at.
