Doing the old half assed trick of making a hand protector by taking a tight fitting soft leather glove like an Isotoner and cutting off all the fingers except for the index finger. Handmade arrows, especially in the wintertime, can take skin off of a hand. One of the few good videos on the equipment and technique. Much of the same material covered by Horace Ford in his 1854 book. I find that the low draw is much steadier (less shaking) than the high draw. Traditional longbow is such a hoot!

Interesting video thanks. Good that you are comfortable with two different anchor points between field and target. I do both disciplines but struggle with below the chin anchor so anything over 60 yards instinctively becomes guess work for me.

your bow arm is sloppy It drops at the moment just after release. the arrow is still attached to the bow at this moment and so aiming is compromised
