I love this quote from 'The best of yourself' book: "...self-love...isn't about being a productive member of society, but it's about answering the call within you, from the divine". In that I've started seeing money as a tool and a resource to be used, shared and expended. When I follow my calling, whatever it may be, say making wonderful prints of images and ideas I once saw and witnessed, money is the resource for me to get the necessary resources that I myself do not produce, but others do. I am now becoming aware of the rejection I had for this idea. I thought that money is tied to my value as a human and if I don't have it that means I am not valued. But it's more the other way around. When I value myself - the life I was given, the body I was given, the ideas I am being given, I get to do things that are manifestations of me answering those big and small calls from my soul, and the divine has got all resources lined up, ready for me. It is up to me to 'reach out' for them, by wanting to make those said prints. And when they sell, it's not really because they're of this or that value, but because I use them as an exchange for more money to flow, so that I can invest it in more resources, to make more wonderful work and experience more and more expanded circumstances.
My value is present, given to me with my birth but I can then either use it for good, bad, or not at all. Nothing outside of me can dictate the level of my value, but it's me who is either sharing my value or not, and to the level I allow myself to expand into.
