If the music industry wasn’t so vile these two could’ve actually helped each other south star has talent and Oliver tree has the popularity for them to both go viral

It’s kinda like when you say a joke in class but nobody heard it, until your classmate next to you said your joke out loud

Southstar is now very fameous here in germany. They play his song multiple times on every radio station. He was also nominated for the biggest Radio Price in the category " Best alternative Song" . Even Miksu&Macloud ( Also very big producer here in germany) want to work with him. He made it, whatever happen next.

Oliver Tree is the human embodiment of the phrase "Goofy Ahh"

The funny thing about it is that they didn’t have to steal it. The catchiest part of the hook was actually written by Tree both melody and lyrics. They could have reworked their own version and it still would have popped.

its crazy they coulda just threw southstars name on it, gave him a small bag and this woulda never came out. 0% publiishing AND stealing it so blatantly is scummy af

Robin Schulz not only heard „miss you“ from southstarr before, he also played it on a live set a few weeks before he released his own version

8:09 you still cant just record someone else's vocals (lyrics) and call it a day.

Glad this is getting more attention, especially since southstar’s own version has been losing popularity since the Schulz “remix” came out and isn’t even on the Spotify Top 200 anymore, meaning less people are being exposed to it

glad you covering this. they still play southstars version all over germany and by now almost everyone in germany knows. But really glad you cover this for all non germans

Oliver wrote the song, southstar took the audio and made a beat, Oliver took the beat and added it to his song. Wasn't Oliver that did any of it, it was his label behind the scenes.

This situation is actually wild. When I first read that it was a one-to-one copy I assumed it would be a bit of a stretch but, for all intents and purposes, it is the same exact song. I really don't get how some of his fans think only Robin is to blame when Oliver definitely heard southstar's version before working with Robin.

Oliver tree is the type of guy to say “don’t mind if I do” before enjoying a sweet treat…

Not sure what's worse, the people in the comments not getting what sampling and remixes are or this video almost entirely blaming Oliver since the title and thumbnail itself instead of trying to focus as possible on Schultz, who was the producer.

i used to be in the oliver tree fandom around do you feel me/uib era, it’s so god damn disheartening to see him becoming so heartless like this

Oliver Tree also definitely rerecorded vocals for the Robin Schulz remix, the original Jerk and Southstar's remix says "never wanna meet you again" and Oliver's new version clearly says Miss you

Yung Hurn is also well connected in the German underground scene and lives partially in Berlin. I think he connected with Southstar and posted the song out of pure generosity towards Southstar.

Such a great and informative video. Happy New Year Patrick. This video was rough to hear as I enjoy Oliver Tree. Crazy that people do this stuff to people.
