Flying hot toward a bandit and not expecting a missile is how you die - you need to keep the fight BVR. Crank, fire, defend, crank, fire, defend. If you're not firing, you're cranking or defending. You were well within 20 miles to targets- if you are at that distance, assume a missile is tracking true and chaff and flare like it's your birthday

I've only played the Lock On: Flaming Cliff. The sound of hostile radar tracking me was scary.
The blaring sound of hostile missile launch warning in my cockpit gave me PTSD of sort. I even jumped in real life when a radio station or the ATM machines gave out the same noise.
