Nancy Wilson is an American singer-songwriter, musician, instrumentalist, songwriter and actor. She rose to stardom along with her sister, singer Ann Wilson, who she also joined in the early 1970s as a singer and guitar player in the pop-punk rock band, Heart. The band's songwriting credits include the hit "Stay With Me," "Don't Know Why," and "I Want You To Love Me." Her work also includes the film's My Sister's Wedding (with Ann-Margret) and Meet the Parents (with John Tutturro).
In the late 1980s, Nancy Wilson began working on her second solo album and has since released a number of singles, including "Tears in Heaven," "Darling," "Wish," and "My Heart." "Tears in Heaven" is one of her most popular singles; it is a powerful and dramatic ballad featuring Wilson's beautiful voice and the powerful harmonies of guitarist David Collins. "Don't Know Why" is a slower and more melodic song than many of Wilson's earlier songs. "My Heart" features Wilson's falsetto voice, which is very distinctive and impressive.
From the beginning of her career, Nancy Wilson has taken great pride in her talent as an actress and songwriter. She has appeared on television shows such as Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show, but it was her role in Heart that brought her to the forefront in a big way. Fans and critics alike have praised her vocal abilities, while others still wait for her new album.
