How do you add audio to a PTZ with no audio? You do it with a product like the BMD Mini Converter Audio to SDI.

I am installing a single PTZ camera and remote for a church that will be connected to a tv in the fellowship hall. Since the PTZ doesn't have a mic I needed to add audio somehow so that the tv gets sound.

Thankfully BlackMagic makes a converter to handle such a task.

Planning to use this to get audio into vMix over SDI. I have tried multiple USB devices, but gave up due to dropouts other digital pops and clicks on multiple computers. For simplicity, I've gone back to analog line-in, but getting ground and other noise I can't seem to get rid of, even with a de-hummer. Audio over IP looks neat, but I'm a bit old school and just see too many factors that could cause issues with that.

Thank you for sharing! If I'm not mistaken, this is a far better solution with less chance for ground loops compared to using the 3.5mm inputs on the ATEM Mini, since I've had to implement a stereo DI to alleviate the problem. BMD's Constellation HD doesn't have this problem over 1/4", so I imagine the same results over TRS?

Thanks for the video! Question: If you had a SDI source which had audio, would you be able to substitute the source audio with the audio from your mic?

If you plug 4 audio channels does the ATEM software recognizes all 4 channels? Or just the first 2? Thanks!

Hey Ajay I have a web presenter 4K and a rodecaster and I want to get audio from rodecaster to web presenter I have a converter for hdmi to sdi going to web presenter and currently I have to set windows to Blackmagic hdmi nvidia for audio to get the audio into web presenter any ideas for me I was thinking a audio to sdi like this one but I think I need to send signal back to rodecaster via xlr

How do you assign a left and right channel for stereo when you connect to your left and right output on your Beringer mixer?

Is it possibile to use this converter without sdi input? Only audio to sdi converter.
