VW is expecting the new Volkswagen ID.3 to be the new benchmark for electric family cars, just as the original Golf was when it was launched back in 1974. What I wanted to know is what's the ID.3 like to live with over a week and how far can it really go on just one charge? Find out here..

So refreshing for a YouTube video not to start with “Hi guys”! No overacting. Just a simple, calm description.

Harry’s subtly becoming the best source of car reviews in the world...

I loathe touch screens in cars, they simply aren't suitable for something like a moving vehicle.

1800kg!!! How can these touch screens be legal! They are so dangerous, more so than using your own phone, which is not legal.

When you drive a petrol car, the range changes all the time, depending on resting fuel and instant consumption.

"...what`s the difference between using a mobile phone or fiddling with that display whilst driving...?" X=0.

From all the last century's lethal supercars, only an ID.3 took Harry's blood.

The frozen Screen did it for me '

Imagine getting stuck and relying on that '
Take you hand of the wheel and ping ..

Harry is civilized and polite (and practical) about a range of cars, not only super cars, but more modest ones too. He and Jay Leno are the class acts in this automotive review business.

In Germany, you get a €9, 480 environmental bonus - €3, 000 + 16% VAT from VW and €6, 000 from the government - when buying an ID.3. The government bonus applies to any electric car with a net MSRP of less than €40, 000. That's a massive incentive but also shows how desperate the government is to get as many e-cars on the road as possible.

It is a sin if you touch your phone in the car but I guess it is OK to scroll through a menu on a cars ipad adjusting your heater?

Messing with that screen is a lot like texting on your phone

All of that is very interesting but I still would take that golf.

That stupid touch screen is exactly why I drive 20 plus year old cars. I don't want any of that crap.

We all lived with nonsense range / mpg in ICE cars because refilling takes 5 mins. When getting more range takes much longer, they need to be more accurate.

The infotainment is unforgivable. Rotary dials for volume and temperature at a minimum.

The range in electric cars sounds a bit like the quoted MPG figures

My Dad(RIP), told me: "never buy the 1st, model of any car, there crap". Good review Harry. Thanks.👍👍

Fiddling with that touch screen while driving is just as bad as texting on your phone. 6 points please

It's a VW, it just works.... apart from when you can't do anything becasue the screen locks up.
