IVF and infertility can be incredibly sensitive topics to talk about, but it’s not loving to hide the reality of the matter.

In the IVF process – nearly 20 children are created per 1 live birth. The remaining children are destroyed, experimented on then killed, or frozen indefinitely until they “need to be used.”

Learning that the cover does not reveal the beauty of the story inside is something everyone needs to relearn. Lots of traditionally based alt chicks out there who are not the voices of insanity. They choose a non traditional aesthetic but stand on the values.

A friend of mine couldn't have kids because of a genetic thing. He adopted 4 extra embryos from someone else's IVF, and his wife gave birth to these genetic siblings. They are a beautiful family.

We did IVF. We transferred every embryo. And we didn't test them, bc we don't believe in eugenics. Most people don't test because it's an additional cost that isn't covered by insurance and can also damage the embryos. A woman at my church was a surrogate for a couple that tried for years and kept miscarrying. Another Christian couple I know did ivf bc the husband had Hodgkins Lymphoma in college, and nearly died. He had his sperm frozen bc the chemo left him infertile. They have two sons. His wife is the one who was a surrogate for that infertile couple. Another couple I know only ever did 1-2 fresh embryo transfers at a time bc she had so few follicles, and that’s all they could get from each retrieval. So for every transfer she had to go through the entire retrieval process just to get 1-2 eggs, maybe. No testing. Even in IVF, God ultimately has the final say in whether any of those embryos implant, grow and are born. You could make all the embryos you want, but only He has the final say on whether any of them work.

People forget the sheer number of pregnancies that end in miscarriage. 70% of miscarriages happen before they can be detected on ultrasound…. So often before the woman even knows she was pregnant. Trying for a baby naturally has a huge risk of death of that life.if you have health issues that cause recurrent miscarriages and you keep trying, you are knowingly risking/causing death after death.

So just because IVF created babies don’t grow after fertilisation or fail to implant or are miscarried. It’s really no different to it happening in the body naturally. All gods will really.
Now I don’t agree with destroying embryos or letting them stay frozen indefinitely. All embryos deserve the same opportunity to grow, regardless of their “quality”
There are ways to make IVF ethical.
