I love how in suffering, you can see how she kind of like so serious, but in a different piece, you can see that she despises him and says cut off their tail. She can see the emotions of the crew.

I love how you depicted the sirens having their tails cut and bodies thrown back into the water. The gruesomeness really drives the point home, and I haven't seen anyone take such a bold step yet!

Odysseus' expressions throughout this, especially the first part of the song, are really well done. Most animatics I've seen don't quite capture the 'seething with contempt at this creature having the audacity to pretend to be my wife' of it all, but I really feel it here.

The way their tails were cut off, and the emotions in their eyes is just spot on and perfection!

Your sirens are so expressive and adorable, this is the worst I've felt about watching them die in any animatic. The absolute rage in Sirenelope's eyes during Odysseus' first verse, the fact that you can tell she feels guilty for what's happening to her family, the blank acceptance of the arrow at the end -- she has so much more life to her than other animatics give the sirens, and it makes the whole situation that much more tragic to behold.

WHAAATT- Okay this was just incredible, i like so much the detail when the crew sing "No more of us deceased" Odysseus thinks in Scylla, like he is already thinking in what he have to do now. And you show so good how ruthless become Odysseus! Amazing job!

Odysseus slowly looking more andmore disheveled through the story is a fun detail. It seems to be happening in every animation even though it can't have been coordinated. Still it's a really cool way to show Odysseus becoming more and more desperate to get home.

Okay... those sirens lookes so pretty.. so innocent so beautiful... it hurt me to see them get so brutally murdered. this animation 'Different Beast' is THE BEST ONE I HAVE SEEN!!! <33

I love how you imply the initial Siren was killed at the end by the arrow flying, and the final "thump" of the music as the crew sings "Odysseus" implying it hit. A VERY fun detail. (I also like how the Siren seems to accept that she made a mistake in challenging Odysseus right as she's about to die.)

Omg I love how you made the crew smiling at the beginning!! The other different beast animatics I’ve seen have kinda made their expressions either stoic or unnerved by Odysseus, but they’re readily following him! Until Scylla, they’re SUPPORTIVE of him being a monster

I'm glad you didn't shy away from showing how brutal the sirens getting they're tails cut off. I didn't mention this but the Suffering animatic but your siren Penelope looked like Sasha from amphibia lol.
