The crucifixion was on Friday, March 20, 33AD. At 10 pm on Thursday, March 19, a double set of hours were used to reflect the fact that the time arrived at by the priests succession of prayers was 3 hours fast. From then until Friday at the true noon, the fast times were used, pending the adjustment. At the true hour of 9am, but fast noon, the half-roof of the Vestry House (in Qumran) was left over instead of being open, leading to the '3 hours of darkness'. At fast 3 pm, true noon, the roof was opened.

Your explanation states that the 6th hour should be leading. But according to John he was not crucified at noon right? He was still at Pilate?

So even if He, in Mark, was symbolically crucified, how do you explain that in Mark at the 3th hour they were already gambling for His clothes near the cross and in John at the 6th hour He is still at Pilate?
