I never heard of this opera but what a masterpiece it is. I saw this production today... And I loved it: the music, the orchestra and the performers. The direction of Loy was very effective and truthful to the libretto.

My favourite opera! But the Set Design and the costumes here... Phew! It is set in the Middle Ages and not 1925! Why Do you have to twist opera into something unrecognizable always?
