This story is being reported FUNDAMENTALLY INCORRECTLY. These are not Nevada police. These are Pyramid Lake American Indian Reservation Rangers (police). The laws on their land are exceptionally different. Significantly more so than how US States differ. It is genuinely closer to having another country within the United States.

Protesting Is an American right. That said, all law enforcement will tell you you can protest all you want but YOU CANNOT impede traffic or others. Well done Ranger.

Finally, something to be proud of in America.

I love how the Tribal Rangers deal with roadblocks.
Precise and to the point.

Please, every police department in *every* country should get BALLS like this!

I live close to this incident, and I have a suspicion that the cops saved the lives of the protesters by doing what they did...

That's not brutality, that's a consequence.

Rangers from the Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribal Police Department of Nevada drove straight through the blockade and quickly began arresting demonstrators on the road as they sobbed: 'We're non-violent'.

I don’t think anyone but the protesters themselves were upset. Everyone else here in America are cheering!

To millions of ordinary sensible citizens, these cops just became heroes! 😄👏

Random people: "Oh no! They're blocking the road!
Tribal Police officiers: "No they're not."

My hats off to the Tribal police. Thank you for showing us hope.

It ceases to be a protest when it impedes the rights of others.

Missing from this clip is that the ranger warned the protesters in advance and told them to move out. They refused.

These are not just any regular police. They are tribal police and do not fall under the jurisdiction of the state or federal courts.

I love the response by the police officers. Our nation will not be held hostage by the demands of the few. It’s a republic for a reason. Change minds and mobilize the right way.

Gotta love how they get angry when they aren't allowed to block a public roadway

It's actually astonishing that road-blockers think their actions are in any way winning hearts and minds to their causes.

For those of you who haven't seen the longer video (which takes place before the police show up); people were trying to remove the protestors on their own. One lady, who was sitting in the middle of the highway, said "you are putting my life at risk!" lol

They are Tribal police. The road goes through an Indian Reservation. They don't go for A-Hole's
