I understand why Square being available without an internet connection is desirable for some, but what if, when you DO get an internet connection and the card someone gave you is declined. Now they have your product and their money?? Or am I missing something?

PayPal gave customers the message that they were reviewing the account; money wouldn't be available immediately to the merchant (me). A friend let me know, I contacted a PayPal clerk, who said it just happens. I complained and complained- They did just clear the message, and I never heard anything further. I had two orders from Puerto Rico, NEVER an issue in 20 yrs, so I wonder if that was it. This happened at the most inopportune time, of course ....

PayPal absolutely is the worst in 2020. Don’t waste your time and money with PayPal...go with square and save yourself the hassles.

I love the information. But had to stop watching. The music is so loud. It’s difficult to focus on you with the music which has nothing to do with the message. Just a note. Thanks

The way I see it although they're both applicable square is suited for in-person on-the-go swiping and PayPal is better suited online.

With Square, any limitation on the business volume? (especially in millions from a single transaction) lately a lot of orders coming from oversea for medical supplies for COVID-19.

Wow in the states you guys get ripped on % fees - In the UK Square is 1.75% per dip/chip! Compared to Paypal (In fact most card payment processors) Square is dominating the market over here and is by far the cheapest card payment handler. Couple that with the fact you money is deposited in your bank next day or withing 20 mins if you request immediate payment - its a no brainer.

Hi, how are you? You must in be in the USA correct as the FEES are incorrect for Australia and New Zealand, In Australia a Card Present transaction is 1.6% on the Square Handheld Terminal or 1.9% on the cheaper Square reader and 2.2% on manual entry plus no extra fee. Square deposit to your account every weeknight Automatically PayPal in Australia starts at 1.9% + $0.30 or manual entry 2.2 + $0.30 and you must sign in yourself and do the bank transfer manually every time. Square told us is we take the time do upload templates and other business docs and ID to the Square Secure tab on the full website and have customers use THE PIN on the card Charge Backs holds never usually happen unless the bank confirms Lost/Stolen card but the hold amount is only on that traction, but again Square Deposit all card funds every weeknight.

Very informative video. Thanks. I see no reason both PP and Square can't be used. PP for the website and Square when you do craft shows.

Square is an excellent choice if one doesn't need 2 currencies. I am still looking for a solution because I need USD transactions for a Canadian corporation and Square can't supply that.
