Ugh. So, basically you gave the Govt more money, land, some jobs and then you are going to control how Front street and the rest of the area will be rebuilt? Ok, just so, it wasn't about power or money. Let the people rebuild, it was their town and area and stay out of it beyond support. Because, Ya know what worked for Lahaina was Lahaina. HOPEFULLY, front street will be rebuilt with an homage to the old buildings, showing history, and character. PLEASE do NOT just build nondescript boxes of buildings to house shops!!! Bring back CHARM, and CHARACTER!! Also, please keep big box retailers AWAY (Walmart, Target, Ross, etc).

The harbor, great investment but does the state have money? Front street can be rebuild a walking mall like it was but the "Back" streets, that's the battle. Why does the county get first dibs on land and new structures? They can use trailers. The business park is a MUST but that can be privately financed. All others, good luck.
