The guy with glasses is a great character. Hes not malicious or evil in any way, he just truly believes this man is guilty. When the one juror outs himself as only convicting because he's a racist, the guy with glasses says "sit in that chair and dont say another word".

Great movie/play and an even greater example of juror misconduct resulting in a mistrial.

The prosecution and the jury had never seen a knife like that before. They stress on the rarity of the weapon used. Even the shopkeeper believed that the knife was a unique one.
Juror 8: Produces an identical knife.
Was juror 8 the real killer who owned a collection of such knives?

Masterpiece. The kind of movie that stays with you forever

Have they no respect for the furniture in the jury room? They just stab the table for fun.

Obviously, this movie couldn’t realistically be made the same way again. There’s no way he could get that knife past security today. But you’ve got to admit, that’s a serious Power Move. 😎

This has always been my favorite scene in the movie

Juror #4 had the right line of reasoning - that the coincidence (whilst still possible) was too unlikely for it to cast doubt over the guilty verdict, leaving Juror #8 in a much harder position to defend. By #3 butting in like that and saying that it outright WASN'T possible, #8 has a much better case for calling into question any reasonable doubt. If I recall correctly this is what convinced Juror #9 to change his vote to be able to talk things through.

That solid feel the knife resonates in the air when he stabs table. Knives today sound like pennies in a tin can

And then the very analytical and righteous juror #4 comments about it being illegal to buy these types of knives. The characters are consistent, makes them very realistic.

most exciting scene in movie history, which sounds strange due to all the cgi marvel and avatar movies, but for some reason it is true

I love this movie. Great classic on how a jury works and should be required viewing in my opinion for children to learn their legal responsibility of jury duty and why it can be very important.

It was amazing what they could do with a comparatively small budget way back when.
